Running Update

This weeks total= 45.0 miles. It was a rest week, so don't expect lot.
Here is the fun fact of the week: according to my most recent 5k and 10k- the pace I held in each race is exactly the same. I should probably change that very soon. I suppose it shows how bad I am at sprinting. And there you have it folks 4 weeks down, only 12 more weeks to go- I think.

Holy crap Kate.... good work! I ran 9 miles today at 6 am. When you run before 7 am, mileage triples. Say hi to Bill for me and tell him to send me a personal blog.... and that he sucks at Halo!

This was your "rest week". Oy vey. I ran 20 miles this week and was all proud of myself. Keep up the great work. You know we'll all be tracking you online on race day.... :)

Hi, I'm a friend of Citymama; just wanted to let you know that I like reading about your training. I was wondering if you've ever heard of or tried Vitruvian running shoes? My husband is an awesome runner and found out about them on the Slowtwitch forum. He decided to try them because they are only $30 and they turned out to be some of his favorite shoes. I run a little over 30 miles a week and have had my pair for 10 months already, and they're still going strong. My husband runs higher mileage and his usually last about a year. Anyway, if you need a pair of great and inexpensive running shoes, they are also my favorite shoes ever.
