President Elect

Well, all I have to say is, I'm glad I got this. Does this mean the southside will be safer than ever?

*Sorry, this is the last time I'll post this

That is the best picture ever! You should get it in poster size. :)

Did you guys go down to hear Obama speak? How awesome that would have been.

no we didn't go downtown. Do we want to talk about crazy people left and right. Besides if for some reason he had lost, there would have been riots.
Speaking of crazy people, I just got back to work after searching HP for the Chicago Tribune and NY Times, all of which have been sold out of hours (my boss sent me out w/ her cc). So I stood in line at Boarders because they didn't open until 10AM and at 9:30AM there was a line wrapping around the outside of the building. And people were getting all riled up about the Senator and how Obama is going to send all the Republicans to jail. CRAZY, then I walked over to my apartment building to check for newspapers, and there were news trucks out and the road was blocked off and loads of people were standing outside because Obama was inside working out. Apparently there was also a crowd outside of the school his girls go to waiting for him to come and drop them off.
HP will never be the same.

Very cool Katie :) How often do people have a picture with the President? (well, soon-to-be)

well I'm glad that you posted it again because my boys were super-impressed to see it! Connor said, "oh man, I wish I could shake the president's hand!" and I said, well....

and here we are. You are now super-awesome in their eyes.

AJ, last spring I thought if I didn't ask him for a picture, I would regret it. Needless to say, I'm glad I did.

Kristen, friend of the ubermom, I didn't know you read my blog. I'm glad that your boys were pleased. If I post a picture of Elle on my blog, will they be just as excited and will Conner marry her? I saw the look in his eyes for her.

When he was elected President I totally thought about you and how you took this picture with him at the gym!

Safer than ever or more dangerous than ever, whichever one. All I know is I can't drive on 51st. I call it "getting Obamaed." But I'm glad you got the picture too. The fact that it is candid I think makes it all the more valuable. It's like "this is my running buddy Barack." And thanks for posting more of your delicious recipes. I just made butternut squash lasagna again. Yuuuum!
